Otherwise known as the Jordan 5 ‘Amarillo College Navy’, this pair arrives with plenty of appeal for the late summer season. It all starts with that iconic midsole underfoot. A deep shade of navy travels the full length of the shoe complete with a visible Air Unit loaded in the heel.
The upper is just as premium with a vibrant shade of yellow stretching across those leather panels. A tonal Jumpman logo can be found at the tongue, while “INSPIRE” is written on the underside of the tongue, and a Jordan team jock tab replaces the customary Jumpman at the heel. The open grid window along the profile dons a slight icy translucence, creating somewhat ethereal dimension alongside a similarly executed hit on the bottom.

The Air Jordan 5 is made from nubuck leather; to keep them clean, I spray them with a sneaker protector before wearing them outside. After wearing them, I remove any dirt using a nubuck brush and return them to their original box, mainly so they don’t get dusty.
