Jordan Brand’s Craft series welcomes a brand-new addition to its roster with the arrival of the Air Jordan 3. Akin to other models in the lineup, like the Air Jordan 1, AJ2, AJ4, and AJ5, the silhouette presents additional design aesthetics that give the iconic ‘80s basketball shoe a breath of fresh air. The Jordan 3 Craft “Ivory” emerges with a summer-ready design overhaul, decked out in a neutral-toned colour palette.
This particular rendition of the Air Jordan 3 showcases an elegant blend of Ivory, Grey Mist, and Cream hues. Its defining feature is the Ivory tumbled leather that envelops the upper, embellished with perforations encircling the collar. The smooth leather mudguards and suede overlays on the toe and heel introduce a tactile and visual contrast.
Meanwhile, the yellowish plastic eyestays also get shrouded in a grey suede coating for a cosy look. Two overlapping Jumpman logos on the tongue produce a shadow effect. The yellowish semi-translucent TPU heel panel features a subtly embossed Jumpman covering a Nike Air label within. The PU midsole combines white and sail white tones, concealing the visible Nike Air bubble in the heel. Capping off the summer-appropriate colourway is the yellowish translucent rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan III, which has been re-released as the Jordan Retro 3 regularly since 1994, introduced a new mid-cut silhouette, the unprecedented look of elephant print, and a brilliant young designer to the world of basketball shoes.

Are Air Jordan 3 Good For Basketball?
One could play basketball in an Air Jordan 3, however it is inadvisable when compared to more advanced modern basketball sneakers available. Today’s tech surpasses that of the 80s and 90s with respect to sports performance.
I would put the Air Jordan 3 strictly in the casual category. While one could theoretically hoop in some retro Js, this is nowhere near ideal. I find walking in the Air Jordan 3 is ok, as long as you don’t overdo it. A few miles at a time is fine though.
